"Vitamin D Action Needed Now to Protect Pregnancies and Babies "

It feels like deja vu.  Why are we fluttering in cycles in this great country?  It seems like the simple things intelligent people knew when life was simpler is making a comeback!  Look at the wonderful sun.  How long has it been around, better stated created by God.  We have been told for years to stay away from it and lather up with sunscreen.  Ummm now sunscreen is dangerous?  It makes you wonder about all these aliments, which are happening to the young and innocent.  Like, we are everyone’s ginny pig.  STOP messing with us.  Anyway I hope the link will open your mind to a better attitude about tanning.Title was taken from link.

A potential customer dilemma

I feel bad right now.  A new client just walked out.  I know that there probably is a way to handle the situation, but I am still learning.  When he came in, he brought a bottle of lotion with him.  One of the things this year I have done is ask all clients to purchase lotion from our salon to help support us.  In return, I have decreased lotion prices as low as I can possibly go without closing the salon.  Our salon has gone through some rough years, and I have had to find ways to get money to keep my beds up.  In the new release form, we go over this situation, so he asked if he could use his lotion.  I asked him where he got it, and he said “On Line.”  I said no, but he gets 35% off lotion prices if he gets that package.  He Left.  Now, I am trying to figure out what else I could have said.  Nothing comes to mind except I probably should have asked how much he spent and take it from there.

Using Duplicity as a Sunless

Using Duplicity as a sunless is fantastic! It appears immediately which is want you want. When applying it, I was a little concerned about the palms of my hands and in between my fingers; there was no stain! It keeps the powder soft fragrance all day when using it as a sunless too. I did not smell any DHA, like some of the other ones I have tried. Later that evening I did not feel like I needed a shower. Yes, this is a must lotion if you want to compliment in between tans.

Duplicity by Australian Gold

The results were immediate! I like that. Of course, the powder fresh fragrance controlled the "after tan" smell. This morning I could still feel the silky moisturizer. My skin felt good. Today I have a deep, golden tan and the DHA-yes, ladies, it seems to be in every product lately-did not show up between my fingers. Yeah! I did however smell the DHA in the late evening, but it was gone after my shower. I will let you know how it worked as a sunless product soon.

New Lotions on Order

I have ordered a lot of new lotion lines. After trying a few of the old standbys, I have lost interest. We ordered Snooki, JWOWW, Pauly, Hemptz, and a few manufacturers that are very reasonably priced, which did well here last year. They have added new products for 2012. Remember, I have changed one thing in the salon release form. We promise to have good lamps and reasonably priced lotions, and you promise to support your salon by purchasing lotions from us. We will try to make tanning more affordable this way. Thanks!

From the Past

Wow, I am shocked at how much Designer Skin has changed. I am trying their new lines now, and I feel like I am experiencing a new company. Oh that’s right, shortly after the 2011 line came out, the company was sold.
What’s different? First, the company has not mastered that unique fragrance. The two I tried, I could smell the DHA. What a bummer! I hate feeling like I need to take a shower when I get home from work. How did I smell when I returned to work after lunch? I do not take a lunch, but this is something you might ask. I want to ensure that my lotion works in well; I always try to wait until the next morning to shower. I tried “Black Noir” and “CoCo de ville.” One I could smell the DHA right after I got out from tanning and the other that evening.
Last, my hands are stained? I have never had this happen with Designer Skin. Now, "Black Noir" did not stain my hands, but "CoCo de ville" did. Yes, I know that you should spray your hands with the disinfectant and wipe with a towel, but I have never had to do this with Designer Skin lotions in the past, so I did not think I had to do it. Boy, you should see the palms of my hands today!
Don’t get me wrong I saw longer, lasting results with "CoCo de ville" than "Black Noir", but everyone’s skin is different. So, my pick between these two is "CoCo de ville." I will try both again. It is hard to write any off with only one use.

Black Noir

Of course, Designer Skin, always gets my attention. When the boxes finally came, I was pumped. I had to bump trying Steal the Lime Light to try this one. One of the ingredients is Hydrolyzed citrus aurantium dulcis extract-all this means is orange. It is a skin conditioning agent. Another is hypericum perforatum extract, St. John's Wort. As a topical remedy for wounds, abrasions, burns, and muscle pain, it has positive results. Also, skin irritations were tolerated with this ingredient. Maybe those of you with psoriasis might give me some feedback on this. Anyway, it has been 3 days since I used it, and I still have great color. Isn't that what it is all about with "tanning in moderation." You find a great lotion, so you do not have to tan as much to take care of your skin.
